THE CORRELATION BETWEEN HEREDITY AND MASS MEDIA EXPOSURE FACTORS ON THE EARLY MENARCHE INCIDENT ON ADOLESCENT GIRLS

Menarche is the first menstruation that occurs in young women. The normal age 12-14 years, but now there’s a tendency to decrease younger age. purpose of this study was analyze correlation heredity and mass media exposure factors with incidence early menarche adolescent girls at SMPN 56 Surabaya. used an observational analytic design cross-sectional approach. sample research 7th-8th grade Surabaya mothers, taken using simple random sampling method. instrument questionnaire distributed online. data analyzed Chi-square test. results showed 39.13% who experienced had mothers history menarche. light level 15.21% premature menarche, while 84.78% test analysis between stated there no relationship two variables p = 0.068. women obtained value 0.030, which can be concluded variables. so supervision needed accessing information media.
